Let it be done to me according to thy word.

In honor of the celebration of the Annunciation today, I wanted remind you of Mary’s response after the angel announced she would give birth to Jesus: “Let it be done to me according to thy word.”

I love this quote as it’s absolutely the model I aspire to. Too often fear and desire for control gets in our way from saying the same thing to God. Let us model Mary and her courage in accepting God’s will so completely.
